Situated on the rugged coastline overlooking the Isle of Arran, Craft Town Scotland is a haven for fine crafts set within the picturesque small town of West Kilbride.
Highlighting the range of craft produced by makers, Craft Town Scotland offers a chance to see and buy quality work focused in one easily accessible location.
There are eight craft studios - first and foremost these are workshops where craft work is produced by a single maker. We are fortunate to have makers of the highest standard, from those just starting out to those with an international reputation.
The Gallery was launched in 2005 and in a relatively short period of time the quality of work exhibited has been recognised. In 2007 it was one of a small number of independent galleries highlighted in the 'Cutting Edge' catalogue as a place to see contemporary craft in Scotland.
The WK Initiative Centre is an Aladin's Cave of affordable, quality giftware hand-crafted by local amateur and other semi-professional makers. Local information is also on display and our friendly, efficient volunteers are on hand to welcome you.
A community inspired development, the creation of Scoltland's first Craft Town has transformed the town centre and helped make West Kilbride a better place to live, work and visit.
All profits generated by Craft Town Scotland are reinvested into sustaining and developing West Kilbride's retail and cultural hub as part of our vibrant community.
