2nd December 2016 - WK Yuletide Night @ the Barony Centre
Hard to believe this will be our 4th WK Yuletide Night in the Barony Centre! We are bursting with excitement at the news of genuine reindeers visiting the village this year – it’s amazing what the (volunteer) WK elves achieve by working together, fabulous job is done by all over many, many months.
As well as a stunning range of craft gifts in our gallery shop, we also have a fabulous exhibition, Alternative Giving, which has a range of original work from some of the country’s top designers and makers. We are really proud to support local and national makers – and the work isn’t as expensive as people might think…we really do have prices to suit all budgets. To make things even easier, we are now one of the 250 galleries across the country which is accredited to offer Own Art, a scheme which allows customers to spread the cost of pieces with a combined value of between £100 and £2,500 over a 10 month period with 0% interest.
Our own Barony elves will be on hand on the night, with a few extra coming along to help with childrens’ face-painting, festive chocolate crispy making, decorate a gingerbread man and make you very own Christmas card to take away. This all takes place in our fantastic mezzanine studio upstairs - children should be accompanied by an adult please.
The Barony Café will have a delicious range of yummy home baking, including the most amazing mince pies, hot drinks, soup and chilli to warm you ‘inside out’ as well as gift packs of shortbread and dark chocolate truffles to buy. Delicious, spicy Gluwein will be given out free on the night…but once it’s gone, it’s gone!!
Last but by no means least, all 9 Craft Town Scotland studios will also be open on Yuletide – a veritable feast of work designed and made here in West Kilbride.
Santa's Parade starts off at West Kilbride Station at 6pm, with festivities continuing throughout the village until 9pm. Check out the following links for updated details...look forward to seeing you all on Friday!
