Hi there...and welcome to Craft Town Scotland's blog!  This is the place to catch all the snippets of 'stuff'' that make CTS a brilliant, creative and people focused place.

The conversion of the Barony Centre has added a fabulous contemporary edge to the townscape,  it's already been recognised within the architectural community as a beautifully designed, sympathetic conversion and is a fitting venue to showcase craft and design.  We'll keep you up to date with all the latest craft, design and cross art form exhibitions (with maker profiles to match) and inform you about workshops taking place in the Centre.

Find out what our incredibly creative studio makers are up to, what fabulous new products they are developing, what shows/exhibitions/education workshops they will be involved in - silversmith, stained glass/ lampwork artist, hand-stitched textile designer maker, basket weaver, furniture maker, printmaker/hand-painted silks , hand-painted yarn - some of our makers' reach literally extends across the globe.

CTS Director Maggie Broadley will 'chuck in her tuppence worth' (well...probably more than that) with tales from the CTS, of her own passion for craft, craft makers and all things craft related - and of trying to 'keep her hand in' as a maker (ceramics.)

Guest bloggers will keep us fab, fresh and funky, with different perspectives on CTS, West Kilbride 'the village' and what's going on along the west coast and beyond.
