Hours: 3 days per week @ 7 ½ hours (Flexi-time by arrangment)

Annual Salary: £15,000 (£25,000 pro rata)

An opportunity has arisen to join our small team at an exciting time in the organisation’s development.  We are looking for a dynamic, motivated individual to fill the role of Business Manager.  This post is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.

Key purpose of role: To manage the operational business of Craft Town Scotland, produce financial reports and identify commercial opportunities appropriate to the project’s role as a cultural enterprise which harnesses the power of the arts in order to deliver sustainable development.

The Craft Town Scotland Business Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with the various legislative and regulatory requirements affecting CTS and its activities
  • Ensuring that the routine day-to-day work of CTS is managed efficiently and that effective office and financial systems are established, maintained and regularly reviewed
  • Monitor the website and its ongoing development and improvement
  • Managing the process and contributing to the development of annual business plans/reports, budgets and targets
  • Establishing measurable standards for all office functions, for example, the timely and appropriate management of enquiries, both professional and administrative
  • Developing and implementing Human Resources policies

 

Candidates should be educated to degree level in a related subject, or have relevant work-related experience.  An awareness of/interest in the crafts, cultural and/or third sector is desirable.
